All-Care Cremation Center is affiliated with Manitowoc county's three leading funeral homes.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home of Manitowoc which was started by Leonard T. Pfeffer and his wife, Lucy, founded in 1921. The original site was located at 915 Washington Street in conjunction with J. Pfeffer & Sons Furniture Store as was a common affiliation in those days. The present funeral home located at 928 South 14th Street was built in 1932 and has since been renovated to support amenities necessary to serve families in their time of need. As the physical structure of the funeral home has changed throughout our history so has our personnel. Our founders, Leonard and Lucy Pfeffer died in 1952 and 1974 respectively. Their three sons; Clyde W., Leonard C., and Roy T. Pfeffer continued the operation of the funeral home and in the 1970's they were joined by the third generation of the Pfeffer family; Steven L. Pfeffer, the son of Leonard C., and Clyde D. (Skip) Pfeffer, the son of Clyde. Clyde W. died in 1993 and Leonard C. died in 2007. Because of community support and confidence, the Pfeffer Funeral Home has been most fortunate to retain and continue a one-family firm ownership. "Three Generations Dedicated to the Community" Also at this location are licensed funeral directors: Tim Duckart, Dan Lendman and Tony Reinke.
The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home of Two Rivers was founded in 1901 when Adam Klein began Klein's Furniture and Undertaking which was located on West park Street in Two Rivers. The present funeral home was built in 1938, with a major addition to the building being completed in 1964. To meet the needs of the community, an expanded parking facility was constructed in 1995, with a Veteran's Memorial Monument and flag dedicated on Verteran's day of the same year. Wayne Sanville, Edwin Klein's nephew, began employment at the funeral home in 1950. Jack Broderick, also a licensed funeral director, joined the firm in 1957. Emil Stangel died in 1965 and Edwin Klein died in 1987. In 1992 the ownership of the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home was acquired by Steven L. Pfeffer and Clyde D. (Skip) Pfeffer both of whom are licensed Funeral Directors since the 1970's. Jon Ruhbusch and Sarah Seifert, both licensed funeral directors as well continue to serve the Two Rivers area.
The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home has a long history in the Valder's area, dating back to 1898 when furniture stores and the "undertaking" business were one. That's when Otto Berge and Ken Sebo founded the business. After a couple of years Otto bought out Ken and later brought his son, Guilford into the business in 1925. Guilford purchased the business from his father in 1934 when he was joined by his nephew Raymond Christianson. Ray eventually bought the business and in 1974 formed a partnership with Kenneth Deja. In January of 1997, cousins Steven L. and Clyde D.(Skip) Pfeffer purchased Christianson & Deja.
