Some believe that if you choose cremation you are limited to a very simple service or no service at all. The fact is, cremation in no way prevents families and friends from participating in the ceremonies, religious services or traditions of a funeral service. When people realize these choices are available the majority select some type of ceremony, viewing and or service. The difference between a funeral service and a memorial service is at the time of the memorial service the body is not present. However, many times the family will choose to have cremated remains present in an urn. Memorial services are intended to help survivors by providing an opportunity to acknowledge the loss and offer a sense of closure. It provides a time for family and friends to release their feelings and share their grief so the healing process may begin.  The following are choices when the body is not present.

The first option is called a Consolidated Gathering and Memorial Service. This includes the services of the funeral director and staff, transfer of the remains to the All-Care Crematory, temporary shelterization, washing and disinfecting of the remains, temporary cremains container, arrangement consultation, all cash advance coordination, limited service utility vehicle and a same day memorial visitation and service at the funeral home or other location.

The second option is a Family viewing followed by cremation. There are no formal services with this option, but it allows an opportunity for a private viewing by immediate family during normal business hours. It also includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, transfer of the remains to All-Care Crematory, temporary shelterization, washing, disinfecting, and dressing the remains, limited service utility vehicle and temporary cremains container.

The last option as well as the least expensive is  Just Cremation with no Service. When immediate cremation is desired, it takes place without embalming, viewing, gathering or other type of service. It includes a limited basic service of our staff, local removal of the remains to the All-Care Crematory, temporary shelterization of the remains, washing and disinfecting of the remains, limited service utility vehicle and a temporary cremains container.

Reasons for choosing cremation range from personal preference to monetary concerns. Regardless, arranging and attending, memorial services can be therapeutic, so be sure to discuss all of your options with us before making these important decisions.
